2009 Domaine Robert Chevillon Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Les Perrières (France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru) View From the Cellar, 11/1/2010, Nov/Dec 2010, John Gilman 93 The 2009 Perrières is very young and very, very promising. I always interpret it as a very positive sign when the Chevillon Perrières is primarily a red fruity wine, as is emphatically the case in this vintage. The nose delivers a reserved and classy mix of cherries, pomegranate, a nice touch of blood orange, nutskins, stony soil tones, coffee and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, tightly-knit and absolutely rock solid at the core, with ripe tannins, excellent focus and great length and grip on the youthfully chewy and absolutely poised finish. Stunning potential. (drink 2020-2050)
